<h4>Post Title: Bar and Café Manager </h4><h4>Sites: BH Active – Littledown</h4><h4>Geographical Location: Bournemouth</h4><h4>Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (DOE)</h4><h4>Hours: 37 hours per week</h4><h4>Contract Type: Permanent</h4> <h4>The role:</h4> BH Live is recruiting for a Bar and Café Manager to join our team. You will be based at BH Live Active Littledown, which is short distance from Bournemouth Town Centre and you will be working for the region’s flagship leisure centre, looking after our hospitality areas that include a bar, café and The Lookout. This is a great opportunity and you will have a primary focus on the Lookout Bar at BH Live Active which offers outdoor live music and dining experience within a rustic setting, with brightly coloured beach hut booths and luscious planting nestles underneath a pagoda-style canopy. The Lookout enjoys views across acres of parkland and is open daily for food and drink from 11am – 10pm Monday – Friday and 11am to 7pm on Saturday and 11am – 8pm on Sunday. The Lookout hosts regular events and live music and this exciting role will suit someone who has a keen interest to drive the business forward and bring new ideas to increase our retail catering offering and generate and increase income. You will make our hospitality offering across the centre a place that our visitors and members can enjoy and have a great customer experience. You will be responsible for the daily operation of all hospitality areas within the Leisure Centre including a bar, The Lookout and café area and you will lead and manage a team. <h4>You must have a personal license and will be the designated premises supervisor.</h4> <h4>You will:</h4> · Manage and motivate a hospitality team and have responsibility for the day-to-day operation of all hospitality areas within the centre.· Be responsible for ensuring adequate hospitality staffing levels across the centre.· Recruit, retain and train colleagues to ensure food standards are adhered to and our customers receive an outstanding customer experience.· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and licensing laws.· Ensure budgets are adhered to and maintain inventory and stock levels, ensuring efficient ordering and stock rotation.· Ensure our values, behaviours and standards are adhered to. <h4>To be successful you will need: </h4> · To be passionate and enthusiastic about delivering high levels of customer service.· Previous experience in a similar role of managing a bar or hospitality venue with strong commercial acumen.· To hold a personal licence to be able to sell alcohol and have a Level 3 food safety qualification.· To be proactive and forwarding thinking, bringing new, fresh and exciting ideas of improvements that can be made across the hospitality and events offering at the centre.· To be able to work hours aligned to the centres opening hours, which will include working any 5 out of 7 days per week and will include evenings, bank holidays and weekend working. <h4>Please click <a href="https://careers.bhlive.org.uk/uploads/Bar_and_Cafe_Manager_Littledown_JD_August_24_8418542acc.pdf" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">here</a> to view the job description for further information on this role.</h4> <h4>We offer a great range of benefits to our colleagues which include: </h4> · Onsite parking· Training and development opportunities· BH Live Active - Gym membership· Health cash plan· Employee Assistance· Company pension matched up to 6% contributions· Colleague discount on food and drink· Colleague recognition· Birthday / Celebratory day off· Loyalty Rewards <h4>About BH Live:</h4> <h4>Champions of community engagement, health and wellness across Dorset, Hampshire, and London.</h4> BH Live, a registered charity and social enterprise, is a leading operator of sports and leisure centres, theatres, and event venues.
