<h4>Post Title: Casual Chef</h4><h4>Site Location: Bournemouth International Centre and Bournemouth Pavilion </h4><h4>Salary: Up to £15.20 per hour</h4><h4>Contract Type: Casual</h4> <h4>The role:</h4> BH Live is looking for experienced Chef’s to join our team. You will work across a variety of BH Live food stations including a fish and chips truck and a pizza box on the Bournemouth Pavilion Terrace for our summer season. This role will also involve working within the Bistro, Elevate and the main kitchen at Bournemouth International Centre and Bournemouth Pavilion. This is a varied busy role, and you will need to ensure that all food served follows BH Live recipe specifications and standards. This role is customer facing and during high season you will need to be available to work on the Pavilion Terrace up until 10pm in the evening. Due to the nature of our business hours of work will include weekends, bank holidays and evenings. <h4>You must have previous chef experience. </h4> <h4>You will: </h4> · Prepare and assist with the production of food· Deliver a high-quality, cost-effective catering operation ensuring agreed food standards are achieved.· Take and process orders providing great customer service, whilst dealing with high volume orders.· Complete the daily and weekly wastage spreadsheet· Ensure high standards of quality control, handling and storing of commodities (including those of non-food nature) with due regard to current legislation governing handling, storage and processing.· Inspect all kitchen areas for potential risks of temperature control of food, cross contamination hazards, take corrective action when required and report to the appropriate person.· Record all delivery temperature of frozen and chilled produce and refuse and record any produce that is not at the required temperature.· Record the temperature of food at service points and take corrective action to ensure all produce is of the correct temperature.· Formulate and use kitchen check lists to monitor tasks.· Ensure the hospitality areas are kept in a clean and tidy condition, in accordance with health, safety and food hygiene regulations and BH Live’s Policy and Procedures.· You must be prepared to be flexible in your approach to work to reflect the needs of our hospitality operation. <h4>You will need:</h4> · Previous experience as a Chef in a similar role.· To be reliable, organised and able to work well under pressure.· Have a passion for delivering great food and customer satisfaction.· A valid food hygiene certificate (or willing and able to obtain one on joining us).· Excellent attention to detail· Flexibility with regards to working hours, which will include evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays <h4>Click <a href="https://storage.googleapis.com/talentfunnel-cms-career-site-storage/bh-live/Casual_Chef_BIC_JD_5f04e8a636/Casual_Chef_BIC_JD_5f04e8a636.pdf" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">here</a> to view the job description for this role.</h4> <h4>We offer:</h4> · Gym and Swim membership (eligibility criteria applies)· Onsite parking· Training and development opportunities· Holiday allowance· Pension (subject to eligibility criteria)· Flexible casual working hours, including weekends, bank holidays and evenings <h4> </h4><h4>About BH Live:</h4> <h4>We are one of the UK’s leading leisure and event venue operators – a registered charity and social enterprise. </h4> Our geographical reach spans across multiple venues, leisure centres and attractions across Portsmouth, Southampton, Croydon and the BCP region with millions of visits per year.
