The Quays Swimming & Diving Complex
BH Live is recruiting for a Duty Manager to join our team at The Quays – Southampton. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the leisure centre, ensuring the safety, cleanliness, efficiency, and excellent customer service across all activity areas including the swimming pools, diving areas, group exercise classes, and dryside facilities.
You will act as the manager on duty and support the wider team to meet operational, health and safety, and financial targets.
The Quays Swimming and Diving Centre is one of only four High Performance Centres for diving in the UK.
There is a 10m diving board with an 18m diving pool, with public swim sessions and swimming lessons taking place in a separate 25m main pool. Waterslides offer splashing fun for families and individuals, feeding into a separate lagoon pool complete with interactive water features.
With a state-of-the-art gym complete with cardio and strength areas, group exercise classes are delivered in dedicated studios
· Operational experience of working within a leisure centre.
· Strong communication and previous experience of managing or supervising people.
· A recognised Pool Lifeguard qualification (e.g., NPLQ) and a first aid at work certificate.
· Good organisation and attention to detail.
· A customer focussed approach.
· The ability to remain calm under pressure
Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
Hours of work will be aligned with the centre’s opening hours and will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
