The role:

BH Live is recruiting Casual Duty Managers to join our team at Fairfield Hall in Croydon. You will be an enthusiastic person who is looking to develop their career within the theatre industry. You will manage a team, ensuring all our visitors receive great customer service and have a fantastic experience when visiting our venue.

Fairfield Halls is an iconic arts, events and conference venue, which hosts a year-round programme of events including concerts, cultural performances, musicals and plays, conferences and exhibitions, business events, retail catering and banquets.

This role will manage the full venue teams in delivering a wide programme of events. You will take ownership in ensuring that every guests who visits our venue, has a safe and enjoyable experience.

You will:

· Work with in house teams to get the venue ready for opening.

· Undertake briefings with production, promoters and venue staff.

· Welcome visitors.

· Provide a high level of service, ensuring that all customer enquiries and complaints are dealt with and resolved promptly.

· Oversee our Visitor Experience Hosts and Team Leaders.

· Ensure professional standards of behaviour are maintained.

· Motivate our teams to work towards pre-determined targets/KPIs.

· Ensure the smooth running of operations across the venue’s hospitality areas including the auditorium, bars, restaurant, and VIP lounge.

· Support the team in ensuring efficient and consistent stock control measures are met and fulfilled during shifts.

You will need:

• A personal licence certificate is desirable
• If you don’t hold a personal license you will need the ability to obtain it with an agreed timescale.
• Experience in motivating and managing staff
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Good understanding of the industry, area of business & customer care
• Good IT capability
